Myerscough College Motorsports has been racing in the British Formula Ford championship for several years and has on the whole provided young and inexperienced drivers with reliable cars to start their racing careers.
We have been using Powervamp Racing batteries for two seasons now and have found them to be extremely reliable and capable of meeting all of the demands we place on them. We like most teams are running to a tight budget and need to ensure quality and performance are not sacrificed due to poor craftsmanship or products. If we achieve that at a price that is more competitive than the battery that it replaces then the choice is obvious.
We intend to purchase the "Grid start pack (PVR35GRID)" offered by Powervamp Racing for our next race season.
The college race team is currently purchasing a new diesel powered rally car for the British Rally Championship and once prepared will start and run on a Powervamp Racing supplied battery.
Their "Odyssey" heavy duty range will be evaluated over the winter with a series of cold start tests once we have taken delivery. Rallying is hard on electrical components and quite often the weak link. Extra cranking power ability can quite often start a wet engine which keeps you in the race.
The College Motorsports students have also benefited from Powervamp’s technical support and found them willing to answer any questions in a timely manner.
